Last year was a fail for me for NaNoWriMo, but this year I have a secret weapon! Yesenia Roque from Write&Day LLC! She has already been inspiring and NaNoWriMo is still a month away.

A little back story behind Yesenia: She is trying to prove to her clients that a novel can be written in the span of one month if you have the right motivation and persistence. Her business partner, Jacqueline Lee (who is an editing Goddess), they plan to push every writer they can to their full potential! I am proud to say, I have joined in on this excellent team of number one supporters.

Everyone get ready! NaNoWriMo is coming fast, and I have a plan already. This is mostly about word count more so than pages/a consistent story. As most of you know, I specialize in really sad poetry. Due to this, I don’t think I can write a novel that will be interesting enough to be 50,000 words long. I am good with short stories and poetry, I am starting the structure of a book. And so, I will post as much as I can for NaNoWriMo here, if you want more you will have to wait for when the book itself is published!

Let’s all get together and do this! The more people to join the better! Let’s keep one another motivated and on task. We will all have days where inspiration will elude us, but its the effort we put in that counts! Don’t take no as an answer from yourself, hold yourself accountable and lets do this thing! In November!

Until then, maybe something small- try to write 250 words a day (or a poem or story idea). I will begin my preparation for NaNoWriMo and I hope you all join me on this journey, as I could use all the motivation and positivity I can get, and I am more than willing to reciprocate.
